Lamenting Diva’s Unite!

August 18th, 2005 by thesilentrebel

Divas :a self-centred, melodramatic, stuck up lot…or are they? Don’t they have feelings too? Anyway I managed to stumble upon this song where a diva laments about not getting her part in the show from a musical.

My favourite line was: "I’m Constantly replaced with Britney Spears" which the diva sings with much feeling, and then the back-up singers repeat the line in a nasally voices. As if one needs to worry about being replaced by a blond haired pop singer who finds there little use for clothes.

The song starts off dignified enough, but then lady diva person here gets a little….how shall I put it dramatic. Someone please get her a part fast.

Anyway here is the link I found:

While I’m at it…Here’s another song from a musical called "Rent":
Rent-Take Me Or Leave Me
And not forgetting Anna’s song from silverchair:

Okay, this has to be a really quick post. At the moment I’m feeling slightly uneasy…I still got tonnes to study. I just can’t wait for the holidays to arrive. I’ll probably post more then in a less sporadically  and hopefully my posts won’t have such a rushed feel to it.

Band

Anyhoo…I managed to find a site with the a bunch of live recordings at silverchair concerts. There are a couple of Dissociatives tracks as well. I hope Daphne will enjoy these songs. ^_^
One of my favourite silverchair songs has got to be "Anna’s song" which is about anorexia nervosa if i’m not mistaken.

Well this is the link:

Coldplay

Hear hear coldplay fans….I managed to find this url where you can get coldplay’s blue room EP. It’s a zip file so you need either winrar or winzip to open it. I’m not sure about the bitrate and all because I haven’t tried to download it yet.

If you like coldplay’s albums i suggest that you buy it.

The night, saturday

August 6th, 2005 by thesilentrebel

The thick haze gave the night a sinister atmosphere –the perfect setting for a b-grade horror flick.
The street lights emitted an eerie glow, while the car drove on.

Okay…okay…don’t worry. I won’t continue with the pathetic attempt at descriptive writing. But anyway the atmosphere was rather much like that this evening just as my car drove along the lonely roads of S2.

My family and I were invited to a dinner to commemorate the 70 years of the establishment of ACS school.[ or at least that was what I think the dinner is for]. Well  they did sing the ACS school song….

The night mainly consisted of :-

  • me pigging out
  • some interesting karaoke renditions
  • me pigging out some more
  • yep, you guessed it more food!
  • video presentation on the history of ACS on an LCD screen

The dinner really made me miss the old Convent building. I really had more things to write about …but i can’t remember now…oh well.

Emotions in a jar

I’m undecided about friendster blog. For now I seem to like my blogspot blog better which I have been posting on for quite a while. There seems to be more options to meddle with. Unfortunately I haven’t been updating that blog for ages.

Right now, I am getting worried about the coming tests which I am definitely not prepared for. Worried enough to feel uneasy, yet not worried enough to get down to studying. [Hence, the fact that I am at the computer].The latter will probably take some more time to kick in.

Don’t tests just give meaning to life? Without them life would be incomplete–like food without MSG.
